State Vice President
Eliza Petry was born and raised in Rochelle, Illinois, located in Ogle County. She lives on a grain production farm in that area. She is a member of the Rochelle FFA Chapter, her agriculture teacher is Mrs. Donna Page.
Her SAEs reflect the responsibilities she has undertaken on her family farm as a 6th generation farmer. She has an Ag Services SAE where she tests soil for nitrogen in farmers' fields. Eliza says that this is important to ensure farmers that they are applying their correct amounts of nitrogen in order to reach their yield goal. Along with being passionate about agriculture, Eliza also enjoys playing the guitar and singing. She even performs at markets and festivals around her area.
Her future plans include attending the University of Illinois to major in Agriculture Education Science to become an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. She cannot wait to connect with the over 18,000 members in our state that share the same passion with agriculture as herself.
